How does per-seat billing work?

Every active user in your workspace is one seat. Invite someone and your seat count goes up; deactivate or remove them and it goes down. The subscription quantity is kept in sync automatically, so there is nothing to adjust by hand.

If you know your team will grow, you can commit to a higher seat count up front. You are billed for whichever is larger — your committed seats or your active users.

What about SMS and phone call costs?

SMS pages are sent through your own Twilio or Vonage account and phone calls through your own Twilio account. You pay those carrier rates directly to your provider — Oncallz adds no markup and doesn’t resell minutes.

Push notifications through the Oncallz mobile app and email pages cost nothing extra.

Who handles payments and invoices?

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy issues your invoices and calculates any sales tax or VAT that applies in your country. You can update your payment method and download invoices from the billing page in Oncallz.

Is there a free plan?

You can create a workspace and use Oncallz for free, without entering a card. When your team relies on it, subscribe at $4 per user per month. If we ever introduce limits for unpaid workspaces, we will announce them in advance.

How much does Oncallz cost?

Why is billing quarterly instead of monthly?

Quarterly billing keeps payment-processing overhead low, which is part of how the price stays at $4 per user a month. Seats still follow your team: users added mid-period are reflected in the subscription quantity automatically.

Do I need a credit card to start?

No. Create a workspace, invite your team, connect your monitoring and set up schedules without a card. Subscribe from the billing page when you are ready.

Are read-only or stakeholder users charged?

Every active user account counts as a seat. People who only need to see what is happening can use the login-free status board instead of an account, which costs nothing.

Does Oncallz charge for SMS or phone calls?

No. SMS and phone calls go through your own Twilio (SMS and voice) or Vonage (SMS) account, so you pay your provider’s published rates with no markup from Oncallz. Push and email pages are free.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. You can manage or cancel your subscription from the billing page, which opens the Lemon Squeezy customer portal. Your workspace data stays yours; see the Terms of Service for details.
