About Oncallz
On-call without the enterprise tax
Oncallz is an on-call scheduling and incident alerting tool for small and growing engineering teams. It pages the right person by phone call, SMS, push and email, and keeps escalating until someone takes the incident.
Why does Oncallz exist?
Oncallz exists because reliable paging should not be an enterprise purchase. Most on-call tools are priced and packaged for large organizations: phone-call alerts, escalation policies or status pages often sit behind higher tiers or add-ons, and per-user prices climb quickly.
A five-person team running a production service has the same 3 a.m. problem as a 500-person one. Someone has to be woken up, and if they do not answer, the next person has to be.
We built Oncallz so that small and mid-sized teams get phone-call paging, schedules and escalation from day one, at a price that does not need a procurement process.
Who is it for?
Oncallz is for engineering, DevOps, SRE and IT operations teams that run services people depend on and need a clear answer to "who is on call right now, and did they see the alert?".
It fits teams that already have monitoring (Graylog, New Relic, Datadog, Prometheus Alertmanager, Grafana, Sentry or anything that can send a webhook) and want those alerts to become tracked incidents that reach a human.
It is a focused tool: it does not try to be an observability platform, a ticketing system or a runbook engine.
What principles guide the product?
A few decisions shape everything we build:
- Every feature is included. There is one plan at $4 per user per month, billed quarterly. No tiers, no add-ons, no "contact sales" for phone alerts.
- You bring your own SMS and voice provider. SMS goes through your own Twilio or Vonage account and phone calls through your own Twilio account, so you pay carrier rates directly and we add no markup.
- Built in two languages. The web app, emails and voice prompts are available in English and Turkish.
- The pager is in your pocket. A native iOS app delivers alerts and lets you acknowledge, escalate and resolve incidents. The Android app is in closed beta.
- Honest about limits. Alert delivery depends on carriers, push services and your own provider accounts, so we do not promise guaranteed delivery. We escalate until someone acknowledges instead.
How do we build it?
Oncallz is built and operated by the Oncallz team. We ship in small, frequent releases. Feature requests and bug reports come in by email, and they shape what we build next.
We publish what the product does on the features and security pages, and keep our privacy policy and terms in plain language in both English and Turkish.
