How does phone and SMS paging work?
Each alert is routed by severity to the channels you choose. A phone call reads the incident out loud and lets the engineer press a key to acknowledge or escalate. SMS goes through your own Twilio or Vonage account and phone calls through Twilio, so you pay carrier rates directly with no markup.
Which monitoring tools can send alerts to Oncallz?
Any tool that can POST a JSON webhook. New Relic payloads are understood natively, including auto-resolve when New Relic closes the issue, and Graylog severity is read from log levels. Datadog, Prometheus Alertmanager, Grafana, Sentry and custom scripts work through the same webhook URL.
Does Oncallz have a mobile app?
Yes. The native iOS app delivers critical push alerts and lets you acknowledge, resolve and comment on incidents. The Android app is in closed beta and will be released soon.
Can Oncallz notify Slack or Microsoft Teams?
Yes. Each team can post incidents as they are triggered, acknowledged, escalated and resolved — with who acted and the AI analysis — to its own Slack or Microsoft Teams channel. It is one-way notification, not a chat bot.
